I find my inspiration everywhere!

Saturday morning. Driving my car to West London, through very peaceful and and clear (compare to last night) North circular road.Straighting up my plans of action for this weekend in my head.
Once got drawing ready in my thoughts, pressed the play button on my stereo where the newest album of Ed Sheeran has been sitting in for last few days.(Since I replaced it with the older one).
From very first sound I have begun relaxing to the music and sinking my thoughts in between the lyrics.( I am meditating while listening, if you can say that?!).
I am a great fan of Ed!
Not only because of his talent.
Because of the way he follows his dreams. Because of his bravery and hard work he put up in his life.
Because of his humbleness and helpfulness to the society at the position where all he could do is just "enjoy himself".
I have heard a bit about him from my sister in law (who also likes him),then found a bit more on the Internet.
At the age of 16 Ed has moved on his own to big city of London, following his dreams of becoming a great and recognised musician.
As a 17 already playing 315 gigs in a year being motivated by James Morissons record of 200.
At the age of 19 already achieved recognition in UK and having his first records published he buys ticket to Los Angeles and fly there without any contacts out there.
Playing on the streets, tube stations and small clubs got him to a point where he meets Jamie Fox who opens the door to a big world for talented and hard working Ed Sheeran.
I find his story supported by his creativity very inspiring and motivating.
I believe we can all fallow  our own dreams. Sky has no limits!
Limits are only in our heads!
If you believe in something, just find the way and work for it.
Don't matter what is your profession, what you dreaming about.
This way you can create something better for yourself and pull along the others.

Working on your inner self.

If we look at someones behaviour very close we can read quite a lot about himself.
Successful and confident people usually present them selves very well.
They usually got straight, chest and head up posture.
They move firmly and not avoiding eye contact.
Where people  who haven't got much confidence and they heads are troubled, usually keep they heads down and they body curved.
Their posture, movement and communication will be less energetic and composed .
How do we change it when circumstances of our lives are not getting any easier and still giving us reasons to worry?
Well the way I see it is that you got to work on two aspects.
As my coach strongly  advise, main aspect we should work on is our inner selves.
Only controlling and developing our inner selves can bring lasting changes to our life.
Of course we can keep on reminding ourselves to keep head up,straight back and compose in certain situations. But surely we can't keep it for a long time as the life will verify, and our body will immediately change under pressure.
How many of us experienced "cut off" in a stressful situation like; important exam, interview, sports championships,fight...
In the practise everything was crystal clean but at the moment of truth everything we knew was forgotten.
So guided by my coaches I train my body as a side effect of working on my inner self.
Endless repetition, drilling and improving techniques, going through new challenges at different aspects of my life. Meditation in silence, meditation in practise.
Not allowing myself to take it easy and go lazy.
In every other challenging situation I want my inner self to dictate my body what kind of action it suppose to  take.I want my mind to stay confident clean of  negative emotions and sharp to take the best  out of my performance.
This is my way of getting better as a fighter, instructor and human being.

Eating clean.

As the season gas started there is no more time for experiments.
Of course I am still in a process of learning and I am constantly making different adjustments with my training regime, diet, recovery and general progress of mine and GMMA Academy.
However I can feel it on my body that I have to settle down with few aspects of my fighting career.
Diet is something very important for me and something that I constantly learn about.
As I am going to be competing quite regular from now on.
I cannot afford to put on and drop off the weight.
I need too keep it pretty much this same for most of the time so I do not struggle when it comes to weight in and fighting day.
My body sucks all the food like sponge, after intense training during my preparation.
That's why I try to eat clean at all times.
I have experienced how hard it is to drop the weight last minute.
I have also experienced how that could affect your performance.
So I am trying honestly stick to the nutrition plan that has been created for me based on my hair test few months back.
I also got to work on my timing, sizes of portions and snacking.

Life is like surfing

"Feelings are much like waves,we can't stop them from coming but we can choose which to surf".
-Jonatan Martensson
I  have seen this, how relevant quote at one of Facebook pages I have subscribed to.
I have shared it on mine.
Isn't it how it is?!
Everyone of us can go through similar situations in life,so many different ways.
Just because we all got different experience and we choose our own wave to surf on.
In my training and fighting life I have had my ups and downs us everybody else.
But each time I have felt over I decided to stand up on the board again and try once again.
After while, just like experienced surfer you learn how to recognise good wave which you can surf on.
Wave that doesn't always have to be the safe one.You should not be afraid to drop down once again.
Wave that should bring you joy of what you are doing and deeper sense to your life.
We get many different types of waves in everyday life.
In GMMA Academy we are promoting positive attitude.
We want our students to progress in every aspect of their lives and we strongly believe that big part of that can be achieved by maintaining physical and mental fitness provided at our training.

Fighters life

As holiday season has finished, our GMMA calendar has filled up much more.
We are going to be very busy with training, competitions, promotional campaign and social work.
As I had quite long brake (about two months) without competing I feel excited and ready to step in to the ring at any time.
This Summer we haven't waisted the time at all when it comes to training.
I tried to stay strong and work on my weaknesses as well as experiment with some workouts, diet and self discipline programs.
Now is the time to put it all in practise and test myself.
I am very excited over the plans we got already set up to the end of this year.
I am really hungry for fighting.
As a I strongly believe in simple way of becoming someone, who you wanna be.
In my case:
If you wanna be good fighter, you need to fight!
Whatever you wanna achieve all you need to do is; take action

Racing with yourself.

Cycle to the gym with my back pack full up of boxing kit.
Once arrived check my weight, put hand wraps on and quickly stretch while waiting for my team mates to get ready too.
Quick briefing from our coaches about today's training and check the clock to set off for run.
Our aim is to go faster than last time and everyone of us quietly wants to be faster than the other too.
Everybody has its own technique.
Some start average to have fast finish, some start fast then just trying to push it to the end.
My system is to stay in front at all times, from beginning right to the end.
We got bunch of really good and fit athletes to keep up with, majority of them younger than me and ambitious fighters.
So the run is always a challenge.
While running in such a fast pace you not actually racing with your team mates.
You are racing with yourself.
After three quarters of distance I can hear one of my colleagues right behind me saying "Krystian! Motivate me!".
Being concentrated on my own self talk and breath.  I have kept quiet,to the point when he actually complaint.
So I shouted at him few times to "keep up", while still trying to increase my own speed towards the end.
My aim was to get better than the last time and there was nothing stopping me to achieve it.
I did really wanted to help friend of mine but at this same time had to accomplish my own mission.
At this same time I got to a conclusion that there is no one going to motivate you better than you can do it yourself.
If you don't defeat with your weaknesses no one will do it for you.

Ice bath

After several days of intensive training and very busy schedule, my body tells me that it needs some more attention.
Out of my experience I have learnt that recovery should be planned as part of the training.
Working hard excessively can make you harm in the long term.
To benefit out of your physical practice your body and brain need right nutrition and rest.
I do occasionally look for some treatments as massage, sauna, hot or cold bath.
As I can feel bit of fatigue on my body and known there is still a lot of work to be done in next few weeks.
I have choosed Ice bath to stimulate my blood to flush all veins. As my muscles feel sore and fragile (my legs kicked and got kicked a lot).Straight after morning session of taekwondo training, I have drove my car to nearest supermarket where I have bought three bags of ice cubes.
When I got home, took shower first, then filled up the bath with cold water.
Poured all bags of ice into the bath, set up timer for eight minutes and lied down in the freezing bath.
Eight minutes was recommended by one of my good friends, fighter and trainer who has been researching about it a lot and got experience himself.
There is many different opinions about the timing of ice bath.
I suppose we got to test it ourselves and see what works best for us, just like with nutrition it might varied for everyone.
When I finished, dried myself and put on the tracksuite, to keep warm.
In few minutes time I could feel the blood pumping through my veins.
I could feel that my blood delivers all nutrition and oxygen is got to every litlle vein in my body.
I could feel that if there was any kind of congestion due to injuries or tireness is going to be cleared.
I could feel like I should be doing this more often.
It didn't make me feel like a Superman.
But definitelly I am going to benefit out of it.
