Three minutes = 180 seconds

When you stepping into the ring.
Standing face to face with your opponent. Referee briefly remind you rules, then asking you to touch gloves and return to your corners.
Ring bells and three minutes of the truth begins. Every second counts, every second can change final results.
You loose your focus for a bit and that can cost you an early stoppage. You freeze for some time and that will surely be noticed by the judges and can cost you loss by the decision.
Three minutes of your precious life, three minutes of an exam. Three  minutes =180 seconds.
No more, no less. In those three minutes you both giving it all. Winner becomes the one who wants it more, who is mentally stronger and is willing to put more work from the beginning, right to the end.
How do you prepare so you are able to perform on the highest level for those three minutes in the ring?
By being honest to yourself in the training. Skipping, shadow boxing, bag work , sparring,  circuit, running all those simple routines can be done two ways. Can be done so you benefit out of it or can just be done. Hard and honest training is one and very important way to prepare yourself for the event of fight. Making sure that you work hard from beginning of the workout right to the end. Not looking for the short cuts, not buying the time.
When you working with the clock work for all the time you supposed to. Three minut rounds lasting three minutes not 2 minutes and 50 seconds. If you are working by the repetitions, ten reps should really mean ten. Not nine and half.
That's the only way forward.
When the bell rings you got to stay busy and focused right to the final bell.
There will be no excuse if you switch of ten seconds before it ends and your opponent use it and give you the stoppage.

Back in UK.

It was an amazing month of December.
For me and and some of my GMMA Academy team mates.
We have had an exciting  lessons of Muay Thai in Thailand and Malaysia.
We have met very interesting and inspiring people.
We have experienced three weeks worth of Muay Thai training at Singpatong Gym in Phuket, Thailand. Where we have met many great, passionated fighters, which we had chance to exchange our knowledge with and learn from some of them. At the end of the camp we had opportunity to try ourselves in the ring on full Thaiboxing rules.
Meeting our overseas Coaches and their family was probably the most interesting and honourable part of the trip for me personally.
Training with legendary brothers, part of GMMA Academy founders team was the cherry on top of our great adventure.
Now back in London, back to my own private Thailand.
I am continuing my own routine with few little adjustments due to the lessons I have learnt past month.
As much as I have loved every minute of our training camp I am very positive that London and our GMMA Academy branch in here is the right place for me.
This is where I make most out of my career as a fighter, instructor, manager.
This is where I can be close to my loved ones and friends.
This is where I am constantly improving myself while being able to help others.
This is my little Thailand.

From Malaysia to Thailand.

Wednesday 10th of December.
After just over four hours of very much needed sleep.
We have left our hotel at 10 am.
Coaches drove us with their cars to the Malaysian /Thai border. On the way we have stopped for tasty and big breakfast at the Indian kitchen which belongs to one of their friends.
In about one hour drive we have reached to the border.
Checked in and packed in the minibus to Hatyai, another hour away.
In Hatyai we have spent about three hours waiting for another minibus which was going to take us directly to Patong City in Phuket .
We arrived to Patong before 1am,looked around for place to stay at reasonable price.
As most of the places in close distance were booked already we had bargain at the hotel that we got dropped of at.
Where we have stayed for first night.
