Feeling inspired!

I am feeling very inspired after last night boxing session.
I've got some plans of improvement in my head and going to put them in to action straight away.
As I believe that the biggest loose comes when you are being inspired and not taking an action.
(Written Tuesday morning).
Tuesday was very busy.
Fallow up techniques from Mondays boxing class then work on the kicks and Gukwoone drills in preparation for today's class.
Due to the tube strike roads were extremely busy.
Anyway, I arrived on time.
With plan of action ready in my head.
We have started at 5pm as we suppose to, some kids still weren't there.
That doesn't stop us moving on.
Everyone was full of focus and great energy. I can see improvement in everyone of us.
I can only get better when my students do!
And vice verse, they are improving along with me.
That's why my journey is so special! I can help others while I am helping myself.
When the class has finished, without wasting the time I have jumped in the car.Where i had some oats crackers with yogurt to get some fuel for the thaiboxing training that I was heading to.
Got back home just past midnight where I have slept like a baby!

Bit of chill out.

Sunday was an advertisement day.
Spent some time on fixing up our posters around the gym area and distributing our leaflets.
When I got home late afternoon, caught up on our on line adds.
And fallowed up bit of my to do list established  on Saturdays meeting.
Rest of the Sunday I have spent with my Wife.
Monday morning has started very usual.
One extraordinary thing waiting for me this morning was a bit of chill out time at one of massage and spa place, East London.
That was my birthday present and I think I couldn't get anything better than that.
Massage, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
I have really enjoyed it!
Straight after-back to  reality!  :-)
There is a lot to be done before boxing training this evening.
Also my plans for this week are very tight.
Time is running and I think I should start focusing on the thaiboxing fight coming up 16/17 of May.

On the move

Last two days were pretty progressive.
On the move since 6am to midnight.
My routine has got broken a bit but it was for good  reason.
Mornings has started as usual, jogging with my dog.
After meeting Sir and sorting out few business related things.
I've barely made it for Gukwoone session at Croydon (south London).
London's traffic can really slow you down.(Had to complain a bit :-)
Gukwoone has been very progressive.
I can clearly see the improvement what brings the joy to our training and make me feel as i am doing something right.
Saturdays Morning jog was very refreshing as we had a bit of shower outside.
Collecting t-shirts from our printing company was the next stop.
Weekly meeting with Mrs, fallowed up with Personal Training lesson straight after.
As the weather cleared up I have met my five years old client in the park.
Quick snack in the car to get some nutrition right before the thaiboxing training.
We have started of circuit training warm up which was quite tough, then moved straight to stretching, shadow boxing, and explosive pad work.
We have changed the drills on the pads and did some sparring exercises after.
As we are training traditional MuayThai,we also train with weapon.
Instead of swords we are using double sticks to practise Krabi Krabong techniques.
To finish off we all sparred, boxing only.
Every session is different, every session brings something new,
every session brings better out of everyone of us!

Thursday

Woke up as usual at 6am.
Shortened my morning jog a bit due to the further plans.
Further plans including sprints in the park near by one of my friends and training partners home.
We started of light jog and bit of stretching.
Then made our 200m routine a bit more interesting, one of us would pass the start line three steps forward.
Good way to stimulate your brain and push yourself a bit more.
Even doing sprints you tend to slack sometimes.
In our case of scenario one is trying to catch up, the other is trying not to get caught.
It really works!
As I've done some boxing last night, after stretching we moved straight to kicks drills still working on the speed. Using focus mitts.
Then we changed for the Thai pads and worked some power kicks and knees starting from the squat position. That was a real killer.
Fallow up with  few light contact combinations and boxing pad work with a lot of movement side to side.
We called it very good and progressive morning session.
My plan for the evening is a long jog on the treadmill, long good stretching and an hour of sparring session with some great fighters from one off friendlyg thaiboxin gyms in central London.
We usually finish it with some nice clinch work...
...Feeling great after sparring session!
My plan was simply; be responsive, double up on each received combo, mix up and change the angles.
Don't get damaged or don't damage. Mission complete!

Beginning of the week.

Tuesday I have started very average.
Woke up 6am(with my wife), took my dog and left for jog 6/7miles.
Still feeling rough and bit heavier after eating some polish cakes over the Easter. (I was only eating small bites but there was so many different types of them and I had to try them all).
Quick shower and practise of meditation.
I am not an expert but I really believe in power of meditation.
There is many reasons why it could improve your life.
I will say more about it some other time.
I had quite few things to catch up on in my office work so I had to spend some time covering that ground.
I wanted to leave earlier for our Gukwoone training so I could do bit of leafleting. Haven't managed.
Made it to the Gukwoone just on time.
Straight after 2 hours of Gukwoone I am driving to the other gym for our
GuruMuayThai training.
Hour and half of GuruMuayThai and finally driving back to East London have a bit of rest.
Wednesday begins very similar.
6am jog, meditation, breakfast.
Then catching the bus to central London to one of the gyms I am a member.
My plan is to work on my kicks.
For one and half hours kicking heavy bag.

After Break

Glad to be back on track.
Those two days of quality rest
definitely going to be beneficial to my brain and body.
Even that I still haven't recovered completely.
I feel much better when I am
keep on moving.
Even when I am working I feel like I could be doing things better,
could be doing things different ways,
could make more out of what I've got.
You might think that this is not healthy attitude.
But I would like to assure you that I am very happy with my life, with what I've got and progress I make.
I just wanna become the best I can possibly be and constantly improve.
I believe we all should live this way as life is very short and we only deserve what we earn!
I don't only mean workouts in the gym or physical activities.
I mean in general, we should educate ourselves improve our lifestyle get rid of all the abstraction and help others to improve their lives.
As some good person said:
If you wanna be successful you should help others (less fortunate) to build their success.
That's my reason why I wanna improve as a martial artist, instructor and fighter.

GMMA Academy

As I've mentioned yesterday I am having short Easter break with my wife and some old friends of ours.
I won't be writing about my day so.
I think this is great time to explain a bit about concept of GMMA Academy.
Gukwoone Mixed Martial Arts also related to GuruMuayThai is very practical form of Martial arts,
combining arts of Muay Thai/Krabi-Krabong,Taekwondo and Judo.
We learn use of four different weapons: double sticks, tonfas, nunchaku and sai.
My coach and mentor-created Gukwoone and GuruMuayThai based on  his lifelong experience in practising and teaching martial arts on highest level.

Both aspects of Gukwoone: artistic and practical cooperate with each other creating beautiful and very useful combat style.
Personally i feel that while I grow up as a Gukwoone practitioner I am becoming better fighter.
While I am becoming better fighter my skills of Gukwoone growing up too.
It doesn't mean you have to be a fighter to learn and progress Gukwoone but surely it will make you understand and teach you how to react in the situation when you would have to use your skills.
Concept of Gukwoone also teaches many attributes that we all should equip ourselves to have better quality of our lives.
Attributes like: discipline,humbleness,self-confidence,respect and never give up attitude. ...
